EXPLORING Indigeneity
Collaboration with TAMU-CC for InDigenous Heritage Month
Each semester the Art Museum of South Texas works with TAMU-CC faculty to add to our existing programs and exhibitions. These interdisciplinary collaborations lend context and insights to the artwork on display and the programs hosted at the museum. In Exploring Indigeneity, english and history students led by Dr. Dale Pattison and Dr. Peter Moore presented projects at our November Third Thursday Community Night. These student projects along with vendors and dancers organized by the Indigenous Peoples of the Coastal Bend, created an environment of learning, discussion, and appreciation for a wide-range of indigenous experiences.
